This whole song came to me because of an incense smell, called "African Wind" (surprise!). The name was a perfect reflection of the smell, so I tried to stick with the whole vibe. It's about kind of a mystical, spiritual, guiding presence, but yet it's a somewhat primal thing at the same time... Hard for me to put my thoughts into words on this one, so just listen to the tune! It was a blast doing the somewhat tribal beginning and end, especially since my percussion skills are limited in the first place! Drop me a mail, and tell me what you think!

I don't know just what it is
I search for as I walk through
paths all laced with thorns
Tattered garb, now ripping through
my flesh, yet I press on
my will goes weak from pain

(Chorus)
If I could end it all tomorrow
I'd press on with African Wind to guide my way
It only blows where it finds sorrow
Nudging causeless souls to the peace they search for within.

Damaged rudder, on my ship of life
just keeps me spiralling in my own void
Slowly now, the Wind and I gain ground
to straighten out our course and end this game

Quiet calm, it's just a tick of time
before a mountain comes that I must scale
Inner strength, lash out offensively
Invigorating wind curtails my fear
